Presentation of the Aber app in Gračanica/Graçanicë



On 9th of December NGO Aktiv presented the Aber application for Android/iOS in Gračanica/Graçanicë, which was created with the support of International Olof Palme Center. Guests of the presentation were Ms. Emilija Redžepi, Deputy Prime Minister, Gazmen Salijević, Deputy Minister in the Ministry for Communities and Return and Fatir Berzati, youth activist and journalist, who offered an overview of the current state of rights of non-majority communities in Kosovo, the process of digitalization of public services and shared their views on the content of the application.

Aber application offers information to members of non-majority communities in Kosovo in one place and in their native language, both about the basic and the rights of non-majority communities and the institutions and mechanisms that citizens can turn to in order to defend those rights. The application is available in five languages of non-majority communities in Kosovo: Serbian, Bosnian, Turkish, Roma and Gorani.

The presentation was organized as part of the project “Advancing Non-Majority Rights Through Digital and Advocacy Activities“, implemented by NGO AKTIV with the support of the Olof Palme International Centre.
